Acer recently announced a major update to its Swift AI series of thin and light laptops. This update targets creators and mobile workers, with all new models meeting Microsoft's Copilot+ PC definition and featuring Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors. Through enhanced NPU computing power and hardware upgrades, the new series delivers a smoother AI experience.
Swift 16 AI: The trackpad holds a secret, targeting professional creators.
As the flagship of the Swift series, Acer's newly launched Swift 16 AI (SF16-71T) features a premium aluminum alloy chassis design. It boasts up to an Intel Core Ultra X9 388H Series 3 processor and integrated Intel Arc B390 graphics, emphasizing its ability to smoothly handle high-load computing and large files.
The biggest highlight of this laptop is the upgraded user experience. Acer has equipped its C-mount with what it claims to be the "largest on the market" haptic feedback touchpad, measuring 175.5 x 109.7 mm. This touchpad is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass, which is not only durable but also supports precise haptic feedback, allowing creators to draw or edit directly on it.
In terms of visuals, the Swift 16 AI features a 16-inch 3K OLED touchscreen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 100% DCI-P3 wide color gamut display. It is also DisplayHDR True Black 500 certified. The body is only 14.9mm thick and weighs about 1.55kg, achieving a good balance between performance and portability.
Swift Edge AI: A Military-Grade Featherweight Champion
For business professionals who prioritize ultimate portability, Acer's new Swift Edge AI series remains the top choice.
The Swift Edge 14 AI (SFE14-I51) features a stainless steel-magnesium alloy body, reducing its weight to a mere 0.99 kg and its thickness to only 13.95 mm, making it one of the lightest options in its class. The Swift Edge 16 AI (SFE16-I51) in the same series weighs only 1.25 kg.
Despite its slim and lightweight design, the Swift Edge series has passed the MIL-STD 810H military-grade durability test. Hardware-wise, it features up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 386H Series 3 processor and offers options for up to a 3K OLED 120Hz display. Connectivity is also not compromised by its slim profile, offering two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a USB Type-A port, and an HDMI 2.1 port.
Swift Go AI: A high-performance, all-around lightweight laptop
For the mainstream mass market, Acer has launched Swift Go 14 AI and Swift Go 16 AI.
Both models can be configured with up to an Intel Core Ultra X9 388H processor and an Intel Arc B390 graphics card. The screen offers a variety of OLED panel options, including 2K WUXGA or 3K WQXGA+ resolution, and supports a 180-degree hinge/flat design.
The Swift Go series emphasizes all-around performance, featuring a 500-megapixel HDR webcam and supporting User Sensing technology, which provides more convenient automatic lock and wake-up functions.
Software Ecosystem: Acer Intelligence Space and Copilot+ PC
As part of the Copilot+ PC laptop design, the entire Swift AI series supports advanced AI features of Windows 11, such as Click to Do and Copilot Voice voice interaction.
Acer has also integrated its own AI software ecosystem, including Acer PurifiedVoice (AI noise reduction), PurifiedView (video optimization), and Acer Intelligence Space. The latter serves as a personalized AI hub, helping users manage and download various AI tools more quickly. In addition, the keyboard features an Acer My Key shortcut, allowing users to launch specific applications or functions with a single keystroke.
