After years of promotion, relevant news indicates that Huawei will bring the HarmonyOS to PC devices to expand the application scope of the HarmonyOS.
Dr. Wang Chenglu, CEO of Shenzhen Kaihong Digital Industry Development, which builds various intelligent application services based on the open source HarmonyOS ecosystem, revealed on Weibo earlier that the HarmonyOS will be compatible with PC devices and may be officially launched as early as next year.
Dr. Wang Chenglu previously served as President of the Software Department of Huawei's Terminal Business Group. He also served as President of the Artificial Intelligence and Smart All-Scenario Business of Huawei's Consumer Business Group, so his statement should have a certain degree of credibility.
However, it is still unclear whether the HarmonyOS for PC devices will be based on the open source version or on Huawei's current version of HarmonyOS. Previously, Huawei has also stated that it will make HarmonyOS compatible with all product scenarios, including the PC device experience.
