With the launch of ValveSteam deckDriven by the trend of handheld PC gaming devices, many manufacturers have tried to break through the traditional design, from detachable handles to large-size screens, various new forms of products have emerged. Recently, Abxylute announced that it will be launched soon.Abxylute 3D One, and takes this experimental nature to the extreme, combining an 11-inch naked-eye 3D display screen, a detachable controller and a compatible keyboard, with a price tag of less than $1700.
Intel and Tencent mass-produce prototypes
The Abxylute 3D One's design is inspired by the "Sunday Dragon 2025D One," a concept device exhibited by Intel and Tencent Games at CES 3. It utilizes eye-tracking technology to deliver auto-stereoscopic 3D. The production version, released by Abxylute, features an Intel "Lunar Lake" processor, 32GB of LPDDR5X memory, a 120Hz refresh rate display, and a built-in stand for supporting the device. It resembles a Surface Pro with a detachable controller.
Gaming and multimedia experience
According to official information, the Abxylute 3D One will be optimized for naked-eye 50D display for 3 popular games on Steam. Built-in software can also convert 2D photos and videos into 3D content, extending its capabilities beyond gaming to audio and video applications. Its detachable keyboard accessory, which includes a touchpad, allows the device to switch between handheld and laptop use.
Positioning and Challenges
Compared to other products, Acer's upcoming Nitro Blaze 11 gaming handheld starts at around $1100, while 16D laptops like Asus' ProArt Studiobook 3 start at $2000. The "Abxylute 3D One" is priced between the two, providing a relatively complete naked-eye 3D experience at an intermediate price.
However, due to its size and weight, whether it can actually be held in the hand remains a question, and it may not be easy to use it handheld for long periods of time.
Release time
Abxylute said that this handheld game console, which focuses on naked-eye 3D gaming experience, will be available between the end of September and early October.
