Nothing, which is always keen on "leaking" information before its product launch, is no exception this time. The official website recently released renderings of its new mid-range phone, the Nothing Phone (4a). Not only has the camera module on the back of the phone received a more streamlined redesign, but the signature Glyph lighting effect has also been given a new look. It is scheduled to be officially unveiled on March 5.
With MWC 2026 fast approaching, news about new phones from various manufacturers is gradually surfacing. Nothing, known for its unique transparent aesthetics and lighting effects, has already released official renders of its new Nothing Phone (4a) on the X platform, confirming that the new phone will be officially launched on March 5th. The rumored higher-spec Pro version is also expected to appear at the same event.
The camera module has "returned to basics," bidding farewell to bizarre designs.
Judging from the official images, the Nothing Phone (4a) retains the brand's signature transparent back cover design, but the camera module on the upper part has been significantly changed.
Compared to its predecessors, such as the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro, whose design was considered somewhat odd by some users, the Nothing Phone (4a) removes the original circular base design from its central triple-lens module, making the three lenses protrude more directly and noticeably. This "direct" and minimalist approach gives it a refreshing and sleek feel, and the overall visual proportions are more harmonious.
Built different.

The all-new Glyph Bar: Upgraded brightness, no color bleeding interference
The Nothing Phone’s most distinctive feature, the “Glyph lighting notification system,” has also been significantly redesigned on the Nothing Phone (4a).
• Miniaturized LED strips:Instead of the previous three large LED strips surrounding the camera module, a brand new "Glyph Bar" is placed on the right side of the three lenses.
• Independent control architecture:This Glyph Bar features nine independently controllable mini-LEDs (including six white LEDs and one red dot indicator), which are expected to provide more refined lighting programming and combination modes than ever before.
• Enhanced brightness and texture:The official statement emphasizes that the new light strip is 40% brighter than the previous A-series models. More importantly, Nothing incorporates patented technology to ensure that the light presents a "natural, neutral, and color-bleed-free" illumination effect, making missed calls or app notifications clearer and more noticeable without a cheap-looking light leakage.
Regarding internal hardware, current market rumors suggest that the Nothing Phone (4a) will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 series processor, targeting the highly competitive mid-range price-performance market.
