Humane was founded by Imran Chaudhri, a former Apple interface designer, and his wife Bethany Bongiorno. An artificial intelligence portable device called Ai PinIt is confirmed that it will be officially launched on November 699th, local time in the United States, at a price of US$11, and it is also confirmed that it will be operated in conjunction with a service subscription of US$9 per month.
From The VergeGet the messageThe Ai Pin will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and feature a depth-sensing camera. It will be powered by two batteries and worn on the body via a clip. The Ai Pin itself lacks a screen, so all interactions are done through a microphone or a virtual keyboard using the built-in projection function.
The subscription service with Ai Pin will be operated through T-Mobile's network service and will be connected to OpenAI or Microsoft's artificial intelligence models, allowing users to interact naturally through the built-in microphone and respond to various artificial intelligence service functions, such as answering user questions or translating user spoken content into different languages. In addition, the camera can also be used to activate computer vision analysis functions to determine the nutritional value of photographed food.
Like other artificial intelligence application products, Ai Pin also claims that the deeper the user's interaction with it, the better it can understand the user's real needs and provide suggestions that are more in line with personal needs.
Humane has currently received investments from private equity funds including Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, Microsoft, Qualcomm, Volvo Cars Tech, SK Networks, LG, and Tiger Global, with a total fundraising of over US$2.3 million.
