Regarding the upcoming iPhone 6s update this fall, KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes Apple will further integrate Force Touch technology into the new device. He also anticipates the release of a new Apple Watch Sport Edition, featuring a gold color and a new aluminum body. In addition to the fall device announcements, Apple will also update the iMac in late September or early October, introducing new Intel processors, expected to use the sixth-generation Core i processor based on the Skylake architecture.
According to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the new iPhone expected to be released this fall will incorporate Force Touch technology, allowing users to control different functions by varying the pressure of a press. The new Apple Watch Sport Edition, expected to be released simultaneously, will feature a new gold color and a new aluminum body. In addition to its fall device launch, Apple is also expected to update its iMac lineup in late September or early October, featuring Intel's new Skylake architecture and sixth-generation Core i processors.
Regarding Apple's product sales forecast for the third quarter of this year, Ming-Chi Kuo predicts iPhone sales will reach 5420 million units, iPad sales will reach 880 million units, Mac sales are expected to be around 540 million units, and Apple Watch sales are estimated to be 390 million units. iPhone sales are expected to increase due to strong demand in the Chinese market, but since the new model is likely to have similar specifications to last year's release, this may affect iPhone sales in the fourth quarter.
As for iPad sales performance, due to the saturation of market demand for tablet devices and the lack of differentiation among iPad products recently, the market is not very willing to replace the old model with a new one. As a result, the sales performance of the new model may be lower than expected. Therefore, Apple may be preparing to launch a thinner and lighter iPad mini to stimulate the market.
However, as for the Apple Watch, whose sales performance is currently not optimistic, Guo Mingchi believes that there will be significant growth in the next quarter, and expects sales to reach 2015 million units in 1500.
