The annual Taipei Information Month will be held at Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1 from November 28th to December 6th. Themed "Working with Technology to Deliver Happiness," the exhibition features a mobile payment pavilion showcasing third-party payment technologies, as well as theme pavilions showcasing virtual reality experiences like the HTC Vive, connected cars, and cloud classrooms. Visitors can also scan a QR code at the entrance to download a floor plan. Alternatively, they can scan the exhibition guide brochure with their phone, installed with the dedicated app, for an augmented reality tour of the exhibition highlights.
Compared to last year's Information Month, which focused on 4G network applications, this year's Information Month will focus on application services based on third-party payment technology. In addition, innovative projects including virtual reality, augmented reality, cloud integration, the Internet of Things and maker applications have been added. Together with the five major zones of the Theme Pavilion, Government Pavilion, Mobile Payment Pavilion, 3C Products Pavilion, and Life Technology Pavilion, and the eight exhibition areas including the Image Zone, 4G Experience Demonstration, Smart Car, Digital Peripherals, Computer Systems, Games and Multimedia, Mobile Networking Applications, and Digital Cameras/Audio/Video, this Information Month's exhibition focuses on the following:
Mobile payment, highlighted here, will include MasterCard's ID Check facial identity verification service, United International Mobile Payment's Citygo mWallet e-wallet app, exPay Taiwan Payment's QR code payment service, the e-Bill national bill payment network service developed by Financial Information, the e-mobile payment app developed by Jingcheng Suxiang in collaboration with First Bank, and Pay2go QR code payment provided by Wisdom World's Zhifubao. These services will allow visitors to understand the current implementation of mobile payment services in Taiwan and how these services can make daily payments easier.
Among the virtual reality applications on display at the theme pavilion, HTC is offering its first consumer-level virtual reality headset, the HTC Vive, in Taiwan. Cross-Vision will also be showcasing Google Cardboard-based virtual reality glasses, allowing visitors to virtually experience the thrilling moments of Lamigo's championship victory. Additionally, content applications such as connected cars and cloud classrooms, as well as maker applications, will be showcased, allowing visitors to understand how leveraging 4G connectivity and various innovative IoT technologies can drive smarter digital lifestyles.
In addition, visitors can scan the QR code at the entrance and exit of the Information Month exhibition area with their mobile phone to download the exhibition area floor plan, or scan the exhibition area guide brochure with a mobile phone installed with the dedicated app to explore the highlights of the exhibition area through augmented reality images.
