In addition to being announced at CES 2016The first wave of e-sports products in collaboration with RazerIn addition, Lenovo is also expected to unveil its Project Tango products in collaboration with Google at the event, but the actual processor specifications are still uncertain.
Google previously statedProject Tango will continue to developLenovo earlier confirmed that it would unveil Project Tango products, a collaboration with Google, at CES 2016. However, it remains unclear whether the technology will be incorporated into laptops, desktops, and other products beyond mobile phones. Furthermore, it's unclear what processor specifications Lenovo's Project Tango products will utilize.
Project Tango itself not only allows tablet devices to simulate the "perception" of human vision through multiple sets of lenses, but also cooperates with gyroscopes and motion sensors to record various types of movement, direction and other data. It also captures information about the surrounding environment through the lenses and then constructs a digital three-dimensional scene model, allowing the device to make further data applications, such as in 3D object modeling or various interactive game design.
In earlier statements, Google stated that Project Tango will continue to develop and will also include collaborations with processor companies such as Nvidia, Intel, and Qualcomm. In terms of market competition, Intel's RealSense 3D camera technology is expected to be its biggest competitor.
In addition to showcasing Project Tango products developed in collaboration with Google, Lenovo has also previously confirmed its partnership with Razer and is expected to launch new gaming laptops and desktops under the Y series product line during CES 2016.
