Meitu, the company behind the Meitu XiuXiu app and the Meitu mobile phone line, plans to hold a series of Meitu World Conference events at its Xiamen headquarters on June 6th. The event is expected to unveil the new Meitu phones, the M13 and V6s, as well as the latest developments for its live streaming apps, including Meitu XiuXiu, BeautyCam, and Meipai, and its future selfie service development strategy. An earlier announcement on its official Weibo account not only confirmed Angelababy's continued product ambassadorship, but also previewed the appearance of the two new Meitu phones, the M4 and V6s.
Meitu earlier confirmed through its official Weibo account that celebrity Angelababy will continue to be the product spokesperson, and also released the actual appearance of two Meitu phones, the M6 and V4s, in advance.
The Meitu M6 will feature a 5-inch 1080P screen, a circular home button with fingerprint recognition, and is expected to use the MediaTek Helio X20 processor. It will also feature 1200-megapixel front and rear cameras. It will be available in white, pink, and rose gold. The battery capacity is 2900mAh, and the exterior design is similar to previous Meitu phone designs.
As for the Meitu V4s, it is expected to be an upgraded version of the high-end Meitu V2100 announced at the end of last year, with both front and rear cameras upgraded to 4 million pixels. The memory specification will also be increased to 4GB of storage capacity, and the processor specifications are expected to be further improved, but it is not certain whether it will adopt Qualcomm processor specifications.
Next up is the Meitu World Conference series of events scheduled to be held at the company's Xiamen headquarters on June 6th.
