Although corresponding versions have been released for platforms such as Android, iOS, and Windows, LINE announced earlier that it will launch a Google Chrome browser version, allowing users to send LINE messages directly in the Chrome browser, and providing screenshots, file transfers up to 1GB, and a new memo function that can edit text and pictures.
LINE announcedLINE will be available on Google Chrome for Windows, Mac, Linux, and Chrome OS.In addition to maintaining its own online messaging service, it also provides screenshots, file transfers up to 1GB, and a new memo function that can edit text and pictures. After logging into the account on different computers, you can also access data previously stored in the cloud.
However, if users need to use features such as voice calls, video calls, and dynamic messaging, they can currently only do so through the desktop version of LINE. This integration with the cross-platform nature of the Chrome browser aims to make LINE services available on a wider range of devices through the web. To ensure user privacy, the Chrome browser version currently does not support automatic login. Users logging in from a new device will still need to perform secondary authentication through their smartphone.
