Recent news about the new Nexus has revealed that Huawei and LG will each release models of different sizes. The news also indicates that both new models will be equipped with fingerprint recognition on the back of the body, speakers on the front of the phone, and a USB Type-C port design. Both models will be made of metal.
According to information revealed by @OnLeaks on his personal Twitter page, the new Nexus models launched by Huawei and LG will all be equipped with fingerprint recognition functions on the back of the body, the speakers will be configured on the front of the phone, and a USB Type-C connection port design will be introduced. At the same time, both will be made of metal body.
As for the size, Huawei's model will be 5.7 inches, with a length and width of 159.4mm and 78.3mm respectively, and a thickness between 6.6mm and 8.5mm. It may adopt a curved back cover design; LG's model will be 5.2 inches, with a length and width of 146.9mm x 72.9mm, and a thickness between 8mm and 9.8mm.
In addition, previous news also pointed out that the new Nexus models will introduce the Snapdragon 820 processor, but Qualcomm revealed earlier that the actual application products of this processor will be launched in the first half of 2016 at the earliest. Therefore, it shows that the new Nexus models will still be based on the Snapdragon 810 or 808 processor launched this year, but the actual details still need to wait until the announcement this fall to be confirmed.
As for the names of the new phones, some believe that the new Nexus phones will still be called Nexus 5 and Nexus 6, with only adjustments to the hardware and software specifications.
