Logitech's new flagship mouse, the MX Master, which was announced at the end of March this year, was quickly displayed in Taiwan today (4/10). We also took some time to have a simple hands-on experience with it.
As previously stated, Logitech's new flagship mouse, the MX Master, is primarily aimed at advanced users, such as those who work long hours on the computer and designers who require a stable and comfortable operating feel. Therefore, the overall arch of the mouse is ergonomic, and a stable structural design is added on the left side. The original power supply design has even been changed to a built-in battery, and a micro USB is used as a connection or charging interface. A single charge can correspond to approximately 40 working days of use.
In terms of interface design, in addition to the larger, symmetrical button design, the central scroll wheel features a special jog shuttle, similar to the previous design. This can be switched between normal scrolling and fast jog shuttle mode via the rear button. A strong rotation of the wheel automatically releases the jog shuttle mechanism, allowing users to quickly scroll through long websites or Excel documents. The left scroll wheel primarily provides horizontal scrolling, allowing users to navigate through wide web pages or applications. The left thumb button can also be configured as a shortcut key via software.
As for the Darkfield laser sensor on the bottom, it can also respond to special surfaces including glass and fabric. The connection with the computer is also through a Unifing receiver or micro USB cable. It can also connect to hardware devices via Bluetooth and can be connected to up to three devices separately (switch the connection via the bottom dial), compatible with PC, Mac or Android devices respectively.
In terms of overall stability, the MX Master features a stabilizer wing on the left and a slider on the bottom, providing both high stability and smooth sliding. The micro USB interface also provides convenient charging, and the battery life is quite long, making this mouse comfortable to use in most work situations.
