Earlier confirmed that it will be officially launched on March 2020, 3Final Fantasy VII Remake, released the latest promotional video earlier before the Tokyo Game Show 2019 officially started.
The trailer covers scenes from the Shinra secret agency "Tarks" and the "House of the Bees," as well as Cloud's interactions with Aerith and Tifa. It also features exploration of the industrial city of Midgar, more battle scenes, and a glimpse of the summoned beast, Shiva. Other scenes include the squat competition from the original game, and the scene where Cloud is transformed into a frog by the Frog Jutsu during battle.
In previous statements, Square Enix stated that "Final Fantasy VII Remake" is not just a simple improvement of the picture quality, but a reconstruction of the gameplay details, adding new gameplay elements under the original story setting. Therefore, it is not just a redrawing of the picture, and a large amount of 3D image content is added. It is almost developed from a completely new game production perspective.
The Final Fantasy VII Remake, currently available for pre-order, only depicts the "prologue" story of protagonist Cloud and his crew in the industrial city of Midgar. However, the story within Midgar alone currently requires two Blu-ray discs, and future installments will include the storyline after leaving Midgar, suggesting that the Final Fantasy VII Remake may not be a simple two-part series.
Final Fantasy VII Remake was previously available for trial play during E3 2019, and was subsequently made available for trial play during the Hong Kong Comic and Game Festival and Gamescom 2019 in Germany. It is expected to be available for trial play during the Tokyo Game Show 2019 as well.
